Opernexa is made by Ithilam Tech (Pvt) Ltd. We build software for the businesses around us — the ones with three outlets, a kitchen out the back and a lorry that leaves at six.
What we are trying to do
Give a growing Sri Lankan business the same operational clarity a large company buys for tens of millions — one platform where a sale, a production batch, a stock figure and a payroll run are all the same set of facts. Not a cheaper version of an imported ERP. A better-fitting one.
Why we started
We kept meeting the same business. Past the point where a notebook works, short of the point where a global ERP makes sense. Running four or five tools that each do one job adequately and none of which talk to each other, with somebody senior spending their evenings copying numbers between them.
Their options were both bad. Import an international ERP and pay to have EPF, ETF and APIT bolted onto it — then pay again every time a rule changes. Or keep the five tools and keep re-keying. Almost everyone chose the second, because the first was priced for a different kind of company.
Opernexa is the third option: one platform covering POS and cash, inventory, manufacturing, HR and payroll, and distribution, with the statutory and trading realities of Sri Lanka built into the core rather than configured on top.
How we work
Compliance is core, not a plugin
EPF, ETF and APIT are part of how payroll works, not a localisation package. When rates change, the platform changes — you do not call a consultant.
Three languages, properly
Sinhala, Tamil and English across the interface and the documents your customers receive. Your cashier and your customer both read something written for them.
No big-bang cut-overs
We roll out one module at a time so a bad week never puts the whole business at risk. Nobody stops trading to install software.
We stay through month-end
Anyone can run a demo. We are on the phone through your first stock take, your first month-end and your first payroll run, because that is when software is actually judged.
The company
Ithilam Tech (Pvt) Ltd is a Sri Lankan software company and the developer of Opernexa. We build, host and support the platform ourselves — there is no reseller between you and the people who write the code.
